About Patti O.

An older woman wearing glasses and a patterned jacket, standing in a home office with bookshelves filled with books and various decorations.

Patti O. has been a professional in human services for more than four decades. She has worked in many settings such as hospital treatment programs, outpatient treatment, private practice, and other roles such as being a presenter and teacher for issues of acquired brain injury, childhood trauma, chemical dependency, family systems therapy, codependency, complex ptsd, and other mental health issues. She has developed programs for family treatment, and inpatient chemical dependency/comorbid mental health treatment programs.

With her own work in recovery, she found that many programs were not meeting the needs of certain patients with additional neurodivergent issues, processing limitations, and other problems. Researching to find various ways for these people to empower and create what works for them, she found a variety of techniques and practices to enable those who struggle to discover their unique pathway to healing and recovery.

Currently, she stays outsmarted daily by two spoiled parrots, and a little shaggy Maltipoo who keep her working a program of recovery for codependency.
