Understanding the compounding cycle of stress and neurodivergence

Neurodivergent brains, shaped by autism, ADHD, sensory differences, or other neurological variations, are trying to learn how to understand and join a neurotypical culture. If you add childhood trauma and/or chronic toxic stress to that picture, something important happens: existing traits don't just persist. They intensify. And that intensification creates more stress, which intensifies the traits further.
